The Mic-Key Button is Gone

It's been a very long time since I posted, but I thought that the people that might stumble across the blog should know there was a happy ending. We received the green light to remove Sadie's Mic-Key button last Monday. It was the best present Sadie could have gave Mommy for her 31st birthday! She hasn't used the button since November 26th and has gained weight on her own. We seriously thought that it would take much longer. We were prepared to have to talk to Sadie and convince her that she needed to eat by mouth. We are so happy that this chapter is over and Sadie is eating on her own. I added a video of the removal on my YouTube page for those that are interested. Her "button hole" is healing quite nicely and had minimal leakage. Thank you all that have been praying for our little Miss Sadie.
